The audiovisual installation Paper and Light (2012) of the French artist Joanie Lemercier was originally made during a workshop with kids in Manchester (UK). As the artist explains, “It is about having conversations about balance and randomness; about the subjectivity of our perception of beauty and the beauty emerging from simple patterns.» The first editions of Paper and light were made out of sheets of A4 paper folded into pyramids onto which a layer of light is projected.
